I want to permanently straighten my hair?

I have very very curly hair. I have been wanting to straighten it for a while. Straightening irons don't work on my hair. I have straightened my hair before with those kits. It's kinda the do-it-yourself hair straightening stuff for black people. But my hair ends up breaking and falling out after a short period. My hair is fully grown back, but it's so curly that the only thing I can do with it is put it in a ponytail. I really want my hair straightened, but I don't want to risk losing my hair again. I don't want to leave it in an afro and I don't want to buy a chi straightener because they are quite expensive. I'm 14, and I don't know what to do. Salons are expensive because I'll have to go back every 3 weeks for touch-ups. I really want to do something different with my hair before school starts(aug.30th) Does anyone have any suggestions? If you have a hairstyle could you please show me how to do them? Thank you very much in advance.

well it will cause you money cause you are trying to do something different to your hair but the CHI really works believe me i am 16 with real curly hair and i bought one and it works so could they sell oily drops and you but it in and then you staighen it and it will really work and leave your hair with a real good sleak and nice and also in wal-mart there are these things call hot drops and they will relax your hair so that you can stlye it the way you want and have you tryed a perm but what i really think you should get is the CHI you are going to pay but believe me you wont regret it cause it didnt...

p.s. :: if you decide to go with a perm make sur you get one that is for your tye of hair cause some are to strong and it could break your hair out cause that happen to me but be carefull

you need something called a "japenese perm" and it will permenently straighten your hair. ask ur hairstylist about it!

umm...I'm not sure about this...but I have a friend who had kind of a wavy hair, but not like yours, how you describe it, but she told me that she was going to get a straight perm. I worked too. Why don't you try a straight perm? I might work, but it might now. My hair is naturally straight, but a but wavy at the end, just how I like it. But a for you, a straight perm might work. Or ask a hairstylist the next time you go to the barbers or something. I'm sure they'll know what to do.

Have you ever colored your hair? Color makes it much more manageable...Try coloring your hair with a dye that's the same as your natural color and it might start to behave.

the hair salons can do something to your hair and make it permenently straight i dont no if it will work on your hair but you should try asking about it next time you go get your hair done. or if you dont want to do that just go online and look up hair styles and find something else to do with it.

try looking things up and just try it if u think it can work..this is the best i can do scince i am whit with hair that is straightest line possible (lol jk)

grl i know ur problem mine is soooooooo frizzy and curly and puffy! i didnt know what to do for a long time if u dont want to get a perm because of money cost u could always get that gel and scrunch ur hair with it it will make it thinner but still curly i got a $30 staitner called wet to dry and thats what i have to use to staighten it it takes me about and hour to do that to get mine staight but its worth it you could try the bun thing with ur hair also if that doesnt work all i can say is that your hair should look great no matter what it looks like and the only thing that worked for me was to flat iron it! hope it helps

1)you can either get a relaxer by a professional or by someone who knows what they are doing.

2) get a ceramic flat iron....the cheap ones damage your hair

3) find a different hairstyle.

your best option is just to buy a $60-80 ceramic flat iron. That is how much you spend at a salon to get your hair relaxed, but buying using a flat iron you are saving money and time that you would spend at a salon. i've heard that the chi and sedu are the best. go to www.folica.com and look at the reviews
