I'm having trouble keeping the blue/black color in my hair!?

Whenever i wash my hair the blue/black color comes off everyday after coloring it making the water purplish, is this suppose to happen? the color doesn't seem to stay! when I dye my hair i leave the color in my hair 25-30 min. My hair is realy long. Is there something I am doing wrong? I am using Garnier 100%. My previous hair color was chesnut brown and my original hair color is black.

Also is there a way to make the blue show more?

The blue is only suppose to show in the Sun light...Its a Blue Tint, Your hair isnt actualy suppose to be blue..And The water will be purplish for a while, It's the haircolor coming out..It happens with all hair color.

When you wash your hair you are washing color off. . .there is nothing you can do about this. I would recommend lessening your shampoo's and don't wash your hair for at least 3 days after coloring it. Allow the color to absorb on to your hair. Also store bought color is not intense like professional color used in the salon. Say "NO to DRUG. . . . . . STORE PRODUCTS". Get it done professionally.
