Side story: For the most part in the beginning in 2006 I has longer hair, about 5 or 6 inches long. (i'm a college freshman, just so you know...lol)

Anyways, i had it short too for a while. not shaved but enough to BARELY grasp any hair with two fingers.

im asking the ladies here what you would consider better?

there's this girl i'm gonna see soon whom i havent seen in over a year. if i keep the long hair ill look the same to her. if my hair is shorter its different...

hmmm.., obviously i cant show you 2 different types of pictures so consider my current yahoo avatar as the short hair type and imagine for the longer hair pic with hair just longer. that the lenght can reach the eyes if anything.

Each woman is different in what they like in a man. I like men with short hair (I married a man who was in the armed services for more than 10 years). Some men look good with long hair others look shaggy while in reverse some men look good with short hair (like my husband). If the girl you are going to be dating likes you with long hair go that route, if she likes short hair, get a trim and see what happens. If that fails ask someone you know as to whether you look better with short or long hair.

I personally like the long hair look, it gives guys a bit more personality in my opinion. However, If this girl already accepted you for your long hair, dont change it, in fact she might evne love it. It could go one way or another if you do cut that hair of yours, she may like it more, or hate it.

Some guys look good with longer hair. I prefer short but, not too short.

Short hair is better. It shows that you keep up your apperence, and do have to take alot to maintane it. plus no girl wants to be with a guy who has better looking hair then she does.

Short hair is usually better, in my opinion. Long hair only really suits Spanish/Italian/Latin American guys.

Some guys look better with longer hair and some guys look better with short. I usually go for long hair, but i also could go for a guy with short. Hairs not a big issue for me, as long as the hair isnt longer than mine =D lol but if you like the way you look i'd keep it.

I prefer shorter hair styles on guys, but that is just me. to me it sounds like you are leaning toward the showing her something different, so that is what I would suggest. and you might want to consider the backstory and how you actually feel about her, if you are worrying about your hair. ;) the only time i really freaked out was when a friend of mine whose hair was all one length and down the middle of his back, shaved his head. That was insane, but what you are describing doesn't sound that drastic, so go for the shorter one, as they say...change is good
