I need help on making coon tails for my hair?!?

Okay i really love the coon tails look in peoples hair. I tried to make them w/ the lorel color moouse (cant spell it) in Chilled Plum. I used scotch tape to make the natural stripes. It didnt work to well because the color was too dark. Is there any color dye that is not permanent and that will show up really good in my hair. Like the dyes that wash out in 8-10 washes? and what tape will work best because the scotch tape seemed to make the color leak down through it? please help!

You're not likely to find an 8-10 wash dye that will give you the look you are going for. When I did coon tails on my sister's hair, I used Vaseline on the parts that we didn't want to get dyed. Her hair was bleach blonde, and I put dark brown in it. It turned out really well. :) I'd recommend you use Clairol Natural Instincts color, that will wash out in about 28 shampoos, and it tends to be more true to color.

You never stated what color your natural hair is. If your hair is dark, you will need to lighten it and then apply the color of choice in order to wear the RACOON look. Look in the dictionary for the word coon, and you will probably never use it again.

mmmm, well just go to your personal/ local hair salon and ask if they do coon tails. its the new fashion around,so they should know how. if you want to do it yourself, then idk. you could maybe ask kiki kannibal how she did hers..[just look her up online, she'll show up] by the way, kiki kanibal sux.

you can use bleach and it comes with a brush so you can just kinda paint the strips on (witch is permanent)

OR you can get a strip of extensions and do them before you put them in your hair.

just go to sally's beauty supply's and look around there or as someone there. I'm sure they will know

my friend used shapries in a lot of different colors. they wash out in a couple days and they acutally worked really well. i would show you a pic but i cant find one :/
