How can I get gwen stefani blonde hair?

I already have light blonde hair and whenever I get highlights they don't even show up. I've tried dying my hair the lightest blonde I could find at the salon and at home and it just looks more yellow/ warm blonde then my natural hair. Is the only way to get the light cool blonde of Gwen to bleach my hair?

if u bleach ur hair, itll have a yellow tinge to it (more than likely) u have to tone it after with a blonde dye, but u have to wait at least a week, 2 weeks is better or else your hair could break off! since u want platinum a violet toned dye would work great, a very light beige blonde would also work (dont use ash blonde, ur hair will turn green) what i usually do is mix the blonde dye with shampoo to make it less harsh, about 2 parts dye to 1 part shampoo and use it as i normally do. then right after i wash the dye out i use a really good conditioner (i actually mix joico kpax recustructor with another conditioner called light blue shade, it's bright violet but doesnt dye ur hair, this is good to do after u bleach as well since ur hair is hollow.) another thing that helps blonde be its blondest is violet shampoos and conditioners, they're normally advertised for white/grey/silver hair, but work wonders on blonde and platinum. light blue shade is AWESOME!! also john freida shampoo for platinum blonde is nice (isn't violet i just like how it feels), i dont care for the conditioner tho. hope this helps :)
